As of now, we are in our eighth week working at the Emerald Necklace Conservancy. Recently, it has not only been us working at the Emerald Necklace Conservancy, but others as well. Today, we worked with Jackson, a former crew leader of the Green Team last summer. We worked at Mother’s Rest in the Back Bay Fens, picking up trash and sticks while the other half of the group used landscape fabric to cover up the holes caused from the removal of Japanese knotweed. Having worked with Jackson over the summer, it was nice to see him again. We have also often been with Kim, a senior of Northeastern University. She fits right in with the group, and has led fun activities that allow us to get to know each other even more. Working with other people in combination with our regular crewmates introduces excitement into our schedule, and it is always nice to meet new people.
